As we approach the Semester 2 teaching period, the central support teams are offering a Room and AV Familiarisation service. These sessions will help academics to feel supported and equipped to use the necessary technology and tools prior to teaching in Semester 2.
A quick rehearsal in the teaching space is an excellent way to establish that all planned teaching activities will work as expected and to ensure a successful first class. This step is especially necessary for academics teaching in hybrid teaching mode (i.e. where students of a course attend both online and face-to-face, at the same time).
The sessions are aimed at assisting academics to feel equipped to resume teaching as well as at reducing the support required once teaching has commenced.
These sessions are already on offer and will continue until 22 July 2022 (end of O-week). Staff can book a 30 minute timeslot with available support staff through this booking form and by selecting Room and AV Familiarisation as shown here.
