In conversation with… Sam and Max

CLT caught up with two members of the ANU community, Professor Samantha Bennett and Max Fedoseev,  as part of the “In Conversation With…” video series which seeks to pair two academics from different parts of the campus and different stages of their careers.

They reflected on the challenges and insights from teaching in 2020,  the role that passion and integrity play in education, how to let go and facilitate learning, and shared some advice to their younger selves ("don't stay up all night preparing lectures!")

A key take away message was the responsibility that comes with being inside "the academy" and how to bring students into the centre of the classroom.

Many thanks to both Sam and Max for their time and wisdom! Catch up on past edition and keep an eye out for the next instalment of "In Conversation..." here.

This edition's session can be viewed in as a VIDEO and also as a AUDIO PODCAST - in addition to shorter thematic extracts.

Samantha Bennet is a Professor of Music in the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences, and Max Fedoseev is a PHD student in the school of Philosophy from the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences
