Centre for Continuing Education – Looking Ahead

Energy is starting to build again as the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) forges ahead towards Terms 3 and 4. Recent challenges and uncertainty have given rise to an enthusiasm for seizing opportunities and seeing the positives in our current circumstances.

CCE has developed a series of short special interest Taster Sessions of one to two hours covering topics, ranging from Looking after your Health and Fitness during Lockdown to a series of conversational Language Lounges.

These Taster Sessions will be offered to our support base and the wider community during June and July 2020 as a way of remaining connected whilst courses are in pause mode.

The Centre is also on the verge of finalising an exciting suite of courses for Terms 3 and 4 –  all of which will be delivered online using a combination of ZOOM virtual classrooms and our new Learning Management System (LMS)

We are about to launch a trial course that will test the functions of our new LMS, and which we expect will be the platform that carries us into our post-COVID future. Courses which will use this new platform include Professional Development offerings and also Micro-credentials.

Despite the obvious challenges, we are excited about the future and the potential that lies in creative online learning. Stay tuned.
